About Sheila Hemphill
​
She lives in Brady with her husband Mark and has two children, Coleman and Christian Ann. Being married for 34 years to a 6th generation rancher and living through the collapse of the wool and mohair industry in the rural communities of Sonora and Brady, she has been actively involved with various economic development efforts to revitalize rural economies since 2003.
With a wide array of professional experiences and skills, she is able to rapidly identify problems, and communicate them verbally and through materials to produce good outcomes.
Sheila is a fervent seeker of truth and a relentless advocate to right the wrongs she encounters. While the legislature is in session, Sheila is a registered Texas Lobbyist focusing on hemp, health, and healing, she advocates from the perspective of the people, on behalf of the people, for the benefit of the people. She has no clients and takes instruction from no one but her conscience as sought through prayer and guidance of God and counsel of Godly people she knows or encounters.
In 2017, Sheila formed Texas Right To Know (TRTK) with the vision of being a coalition of various citizen advocacy groups with services designed to inform and connect people in a community regarding local and state legislative issues that affect their basic necessities of life. She teaches many how they can get involved and influence the laws they live under. Though there are many very important social issues before us, TRTK focuses on those which bring forth a united front for action and steers clear of those issues which are controversial, polarizing, and divisive. The main goal of TRTK is to seek virtuous outcomes.

On October 14, 2011, Sheila opens Help Yourself Wellness Shop in Brady, Texas as her 50th birthday present to herself from her family, husband Mark, son Coleman and daughter Christian.

October 14, 2011 - Sheila turns 50 - "If it's not fun, I'm not in it." Opens wellness shop providing access to frequency therapeutics, receives Certification as a Nutrition Consultant and studies to become a Quantum Reflex Analysis. (See Virtue in KJV)
Life is blissful! Wonderful healings. Coffee with 80+ year old men listening to war stories, helping their orange size prostates reduce swelling so they don't have to get up 4 times a night to go the bathroom and risk falls and recommends bagged urinals by bed to keep from falling, etc. Hearing peoples journeys of healthcare abuse from years of drugs, expense, pain and received little to no help and still sick.

October 12, 2012 - City of Brady indebts citizens for $2.5 million to replace 10 year old analog electric meters that had a 30 - 40 year usage life. Open records law was violated by not providing accurate description for "Approval for procurement of "automated meter reading system". They used the wrong description - approval was for purchase of advanced meter infrastructure aka "smart meters."
Implemented Texas Local Government Code 9.004 petition to place on city ballot a City Charter Amendment with Utility Customer Rights to provide no-cost opt-out of electric smart meters. (See More/Power of Petition). Recalled my next door neighbor - the Mayor. (See The Power of Petition)
April 2014 - Sheila and Coleman attend the World Conference on Fukishima Solutions in Austin.

June 2014 - Texas Republican Party Convention. Sheila and Coleman are delegates and testify before committees and resolutions to oppose to Smart Meters to harden the electric grid against EMP. are added to the TXGOP Platform. Industrial hemp was also added as a resolution on the platform by other delegates.

Sheila and Coleman attempted to educate 10,000 delegates regarding medical marijuana based upon two days of testimonies by cancer patients, PTSD soldiers, chronic pain, mothers of Autistic children, etc.. Issue was submitted as a Minority report to be discussed before all delegates.
Coleman was to be 3rd speaker FOR medical marijuana to discuss the opiod crisis and how our soldiers were guarding poppy fields and the 60,000 opiod overdose deaths. The speaker AGAINST was the American Cancer Society.
Sheila was to be 4th speaker to disclose that in 2003, the U.S. Government issued patent no. 6630507 to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The patent is titled Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants. This is while the FDA states there is no medicinal use causing the DEA to list marijuana as a Schedule 1 controlled substance making it not eligible for prescription by physicians, while the CDC states that there are zero over doses due to marijuana consumption because THC does not interfer with the a person breathing or heart like opinoids do.

Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants
Abstract
Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

December 2014 - Texas Hemp Industries Association is formed and Sheila and Coleman introduce bill in House for Texas to legalize Industrial Hemp when 29 states aready allowed for their farmers to grow hemp for non-intoxicating retail products. Industrial Hemp was Federally leglized in December of 2019 by President Trump. Governor Abbott billed signed the Texas Hemp Law in June of 2019. Took five years to get a billion $ industry so that our Texas farmers could cultivate, process and manufactur goods and products in hopes of stimulating rural economies that are in a state of crisis.

September 2017 - Hosted protest against the World Conference on Vaccines in Houston, Texas.. Sheila serves as moderator amazing panel of researchers, PhDs, and physicians for two two-day event.
